Aussie Curves – Denim

I’ve been wanting to join in on all the Aussie Curves challenges for a while but have been to shy to join in but I finally thought STUFF THAT I’m gonna get in on the fun too. Denim was a great way to ease into the challenge as it wasn’t exactly a challenge for me, I practically live in jeans from Friday through to Sunday. I did want to push myself though so I decided to try out double denim (something I’m not too confident with) and just to make it a little bit harder I decided to use the same two pieces to create a day and night look.

The two denim pieces I decided to base the look on is the TDF jeans from City Chic (looove these) and a denim crop jacket from Glassons. A rule when doing double denim (for me anyway) is to use different washes/shades of denim that way it doesn’t come across as too costumey or ‘western’ but if thats the look you’re going for then by all means go for it!

For the day look I decided to pair the jeans and jacket with a simple white tee and white chucks also added an aztec scarf for colour and added warmth it is getting cold here in Melbourne. This look is great for getting about on the weekends, it’ super comfortable and great way to get the double denim look without bringing back the 90′s

For the night look I added a white ruffle top – yes another white top but I love white with denim it makes pop and doesn’t look too dark. I added two toned blue wedges and a thick rose gold chain necklace. I love the blue wedges with denim and plus how cute are they and an absolute bargain at $29! I freaking love heels but dang girlfriend cannot last long in heels so when dressing up wedges are usually my go to.

  1. Love these outfits! The day one totally stole my heart because of those adorable white shoes. LOVE. I am so glad you joined in, there’s nothing to be shy about here. The ladies in this group are very welcoming. It’s my favourite part.
